Turkish Airlines' operational base at the new Istanbul Airport is a campus of large-span and highly technical buildings: the Turkish Technic maintenance hangars, the Turkish Cargo terminal, catering, flight operations and administration blocks. Ghafari Associates led the design with ARUP as design manager and Yüksel Proje as consultant.

Fatma managed the design coordination process with a team of eight to ten, coordinating all subcontractors and resolving interface issues between packages. The team controlled and submitted subcontractor shop drawings, followed planning, estimating and purchasing activities and ran the consultant-to-client approval cycle so that the facilities were ready for the airport's opening.
